Thanks!
Like Maria, I need to send a special thank you out to the group of men that came to our house and prayed over and for my family and I. I really cannot express my gratitude and feelings enough on a blog. It was a truly wonderful experience for my family and I, and we were truly blessed by your presence!
Recent CT scan...
I had called and mentioned some additional abdomen pain to my nurse so we scheduled a CT Scan for Last Friday... Fortunately nothing has changed for the worse and we've up-ed some meds a little bit and that has helped.
So long, Farewell...? But you're coming back, right?
Another question I talked to my nurse about was the fact that my hair was hurting... it hurt to rub or scratch my scalp and I wondered if this was some weird new symptom. Well, it was in a way; the nurse just explained that this 'symptom' just meant that my hair is going to fall out ( and has started too...). I look at this as a good thing for two reasons : 1) I don't have to worry about if or when it's gonna happen and 2) Get to see what I look like bald sooner. Also, I was thinking this is some serious kick-but Chemo if I'm losing hair after just one round - definitely a good thing and certainly 'aggressive' like the Dr. mentioned. I am figuring that in the next week I'll be getting that super-short (shaved) haircut to not have to worry about what my pillow looks like each morning
Chemo #2
Today Is the start of my 2nd round of Chemo treatments ( quick reminder, 21 day cycles, first 3 days I receive Chemo iv drip, then monitor blood counts remainder of 18 days) and today is our 'long' day. Say prayers for us that I continue to not have symptoms like nausea or fatigue!
New Baby
I'd be negligent if I didn't mention our newest addition! No, not another kid... we've got enough of those
As always, your continued thoughts and prayers keep our spirits high and eyes on Him!
Sincerely,
Gavin
