So, Monday I had a blood test...most counts were OK although Hemoglobin was low.
The Good news
Today is special because we called and received the results for my scan at 4:45 today since my Dr. will be on Vaca. next week. So, results for the past 2 rounds of chemo and since March?
15-20% reduction in affected pancreas areas
15-20% reduction in Liver 'spots' ( they use a technical term I can't remember)
Bone lesions on pelvis and middle back; stable and not growing)
How cool is that? Note again, those percentage of change are since March, not since December diagnosis !!!. Pretty much I've had 3 scans after every 2 chemo cycles with near the same results, and if Maria and I did our math correctly, since December everything is reduced or shrunk in total between 27% -- 49% !!! ( 10% each time, versus 20% each time). How many can guess I was an engineering major?
The Bad News
There ain't no bad news!!! I'm super excited that we're planning to participate in the '24 hours of Booty' ( read maria's last blog) Maria mentions below... Let us know if you want to participate (ridin'), help or support us with prayers and pledges!
As always, we are so appreciative of all the love, support and prayers we receive; know that it is working and keep them coming!
Sincerely, Gavin
