Pre-appointment

First of all, we would like to thank Dave Brown for setting this up for us. This will be the perfect way to keep everyone informed and for Gavin to stay connected when he feels up to it.

Here is the latest: They did release Gavin from the hospital yesterday around noon. We are so happy that he will be home for Christmas. His back pain is finally getting better through pain medication. He will be having radiation on an outpatient basis at CMC Main at 11:30, Monday through Friday, for 10 days. We meet with Dr. Pal (the oncologist) today at 3:15 and are expecting a full diagnosis and prognosis then. Needless to say that this will be a very long day of waiting on pins and needles.

Please be mindful that the next few days are going to be extremely rough ones and we might be out of contact. Thanks in advance for respecting our need for some family time and ask that there be no visitors. Feel free to call our cell phones, if we are up to talking we will answer! One last thing, we know a lot of people like to send flowers at times like this. As much as we love plants and flowers, we do have 3 cats and they will just eat them!

We would like to thank everyone for their kind offers of help and most of all your prayers. God is the great physician and it is in His hands now. We love all of you and know we feel truly blessed.

Love, Gavin and Maria
