Thanks to all of you still checking the blog. I am impressed that you are still with us here considering our lack of regular updates. Fortunately for all of you, we will be updating this on a regular basis now. Of course the reason sucks.
Update: For those of you who know about the medical crisis my best friend Dorianne had at childbirth, I wanted to give you an update. She is doing much better and is well on her way to a full recovery. Praise the Lord!
Prayer request: Our friend Rob at church is having issues with his eyesight. Please pray for Rob, Jennifer and their family as they face this uncertain time.
This next part is not going to fit with the rest of the post, sorry. Couldn't figure out how to cut and paste it into a new post. I was bored so I was googling to see if I could find anything about a new martini bar opening in Ballantyne when I came across this place. It's called Salara Dessert Lounge and Bistro and I guess it's supposed to be opening up near Moe's at Ballantyne Village. All I can say is YUMMMM! Here is the link to their site if you want to check it out http://www.salaradesserts.com/index.html. Their menus aren't on there yet but they say they are adding them soon.
First week of chemo went o.k. Nurse says that he shouldn't feel the effects of it any quicker then he did the first go around but the chemo might affect his blood counts more quickly. So far it's been typical...the steroid making him cranky, the anti-nausea meds making him sleepy, and food tasting weird. Let me take a moment to remind you that if you feel like you are coming down with something, please keep your distance. Once again his immune system will be compromised and you can't blame him for wanting the cold or the flu on top of everything else.
Other events happening...
