The words thank you seem like such an insignificant way to fully express our gratitude to all of our friends who gave up their Saturday to work on our house. You all are definitely the hands and feet of Christ. All of our neighbors who witnessed the outpouring of love at our house on Saturday are talking about it. One neighbor, who was out-of-town, heard about it and commented that it makes her want to go to our church! Isn't it amazing how we can witness to people without saying a word and just by our actions? I'm not going to list names to thank for fear that I will leave someone's name off and hurt feelings. You know who you are and please accept our heartfelt thanks for not just working on the house but making us feel extremely blessed and loved!
Gavin seems to be handling the first dose of chemo pretty well. He is not experiencing any nasty side effects yet. He was a little more tired on Friday but not too bad. I was very impressed that he paced himself on Saturday and didn't push it. I knew he wouldn't just be able to sit by and let everyone else do all the work but he did quit and took a rest when he got tired. He gets another dose of chemo this Thursday and I am praying that this one is as easy for him as the last. I know cumulative effects will probably catch up with him sooner or later but I'm hoping for later!
Thanks to the Maxson's and Sanford's for the delish meals this week. Also thank you to Pauline Muntz, Mackenzie loves the cookies! Once again, I am so hesitant to name names in case I forget a family. So if I have ever forgotten to thank you, please know that each generous meal is greatly appreciated.
Here's to an uneventful week and not needing to blog until after chemo on Thursday!
Love and blessings,
Maria
