Happy November!

Just a quick update.

This is Gavin's off week from chemo. As usual, he had a "bad" day on Tuesday. It pretty much starts with a big headache and nausea and results in him sleeping pretty much all day. He has also been experiencing some numbness in his left hand. This is a side effect we were warned about from the beginning and it's called neuropathy. As far as his hair goes, it seems to all still be there and no signs of it falling out yet.

Gavin has a visit with Dr. Sharma on Thursday at noon. His mouth is still a bit painful so I'm not sure what will be decided. I'm guessing that he will have an x-ray done of his mouth and perhaps be put on a heavier antibiotic. I know out of everything, Gavin is very tired of mouth pain! Then on Friday at 10:30 he goes in for another CT/PET scan. This is a pretty major scan (bigger then just a CT) and he just had one in September so I'm not sure why it was ordered so soon. Of course we forgot to ask Dr. Pal when we were there last week! Next scheduled chemo is next Thursday and we will find out the results then.

Gavin and I are headed to Toledo on Monday to bring back a car for Drew that Grandma Judy gave him. We should be home late Tuesday night. Pray for safe travels and that Gavin will feel well during the trip.

I'll post tomorrow if anything major is said at the appointment w/ Dr. Sharma.
